Since its inception in 2021, The Vision Council Foundation’s Opening Your Eyes Scholarship Fund has impacted more than 25 students pursuing a career in opticianry, or ophthalmic dispensing. Read on to hear from some of our scholarship recipients and how they are aiming to make an impact in their communities.

“I completed my two-year program for an associate diploma in Ophthalmic Design and dispensing at Middlesex Community College. My gratitude goes to everyone who supported the scholarship program. With your help and hard work, you made it possible for me to graduate. Now I am just waiting and preparing to sit for the NCLE and licensing exam. I am doing the interning with National Vision under America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses. The experience is going beyond my expectations.
