Opening Your Eyes: The Vision Council Scholarship Fund is designed to provide financial assistance and career opportunities to high school seniors from underrepresented communities who have an interest in pursuing a career in the optical industry as a Licensed Optician.
Scholarship Details
The Vision Council Foundation provides $6,000 scholarships and reimbursement of funds for certification and state exam fees to students pursuing an associate degree in ophthalmic dispensing at a number of accredited opticianry schools.
Upon each student’s graduation, The Vision Council Foundation will provide additional support, including free registration and discounted continuing education at both Vision Expo East and West, and complimentary membership to industry opticianry organizations following graduation.

GuerBea, a 2023 scholarship recipient, is studying to become a licensed optician and has hopes of continuing her education to become an optometrist.
